And formed the district saleyards board and complex there forever

Then in fifty three came the start of gracemere sales

Oshanesy's Dream realised, the best would never fail

Dominated by the British breeds like Hereford and Angus

With Guernsey, jersey and shorthorn, the dairy farmers choice

The bullocks topped the market, 10 Guinness we are told

Then stronger yards were needed for the mighty Brahmans hold

The stud and lightweight sales were introduced quite early

With store fats and stud figures high and many records broken

At Brahman week the profits in the millions often spoken 

Rockhampton as beef capital toasts her grand gracemere

Our beef industry is in safe hands, the futures strong from here
