I watched the bay unfolding as I enter in my dreaming
The Sea Eagles are flying low to where the school fish run
Lorikeets are flocking so the Mullet will be teaming
And Quandamooka’s smiling in the early morning sun
The blooming Hop Bush tells me Oysters now are in their prime
Flowering Black Birch show that Parrotfish are in the Bay
Each seasons signs are written and have been since our dreaming
And all things are connected this is Quandamooka’s way
Quandamooka Quandamooka lying in the sun
Centre of my heart my world has been since time begun
White man calls you Moreton Bay were the Dugong plays
Oh how my heart is loving the old Quandamooka Ways
Our Dolphin brothers herd the fish to where we share the catch
Taking only what we need than celebrate on shore
I now awaken from my dream to see how things have changed
And no-one listens to our Quandamooka anymore
Men with kites are riding boards where Eagles once flew low
My Dolphin brothers search in vain for Clams of bygone days
The Speedboats hurry hurry with no real place to go
Oh how my heart is pining for old Quandamooka Ways
Quandamooka Quandamooka lying in the sun
Centre of my heart my world has been since time begun
White man calls you Moreton Bay were the Dugong plays
Oh how my heart is loving the old Quandamooka Ways
