Album: Shaza Leigh
I stood by your ambition and dreaming
smiled when I wanted to cry
While you searched like someone on a mission
to reach the stars in the sky
Though your rainbows are changing colour
and the grey’s appeared in your hair
Your eyes tell me you love me
and in your funny way you still care
In your funny way you love me
painting rainbows is your way
You never take the time to tell me
yet you show it every day
When this life becomes a burden
you catch me before I fall
It’s when you’re painting rainbows
that I love you most of all
I never dreamt I had to tell you
but you mean the world to me
You must know if I ever lost you
I’d feel like an empty sea
‘til the stars don’t shine in heaven
my love for you will remain
Even though you’re a tad peculiar
may you always stay the same …. (cause)
In your funny way you love me
painting rainbows is your way
You never take the time to tell me
yet you show it every day
When this life becomes a burden
you catch me before I fall
It’s when you’re painting rainbows
that I love you most of all
In our funny way we get by, you’ve got yours and I’ve got mine
But a love that lasts forever, is two hearts beating in time
In your funny way you love me
painting rainbows is your way
You never take the time to tell me
yet you show it every day
When this life becomes a burden
you catch me before I fall
It’s when you’re painting rainbows
that I love you most of all
Yes, it’s when you’re painting rainbows
that I love you most of all

Album: Our Fathers Plan - Jean Darnell & Shaza Leigh
Mary was told a child she would bare
A child who would save the world
Joseph her friend could not foresee
That this was part of a plan
Trust my friend do not grieve
He comes to save the world
Can't you see it's not your will
It's part of our Fathers plan
Down by the river Jesus did come
To be baptised by Grace
The baptist proclaimed this cannot be
Cousin, I should be taking your place
Trust my friend do not grieve
He comes to save the world
Can't you see it's not your will
It's part of our Fathers plan
The world loves not and the time has come
When I must go away
Don't be afraid it's not the end
For I shall return someday
You won't go alone Peter did cry
I’ll come wherever you go
Oh my dear Peter that cannot be
For three times you will say no
Trust my friend do not grieve
He comes to save the world
Can't you see it's not your will
It's part of our Fathers plan
Alone on the cross with our sins to bare
And Mary now placed in Johns care
On that Easter morn Jesus did rise
His body was no longer there
Trust my friend do not grieve
He died to save the world
Can't you see it's not your will
It's part of our Fathers plan

As I look towards those distant hills out there to the west
I think this is my country and I’ll always love it best
I love those rosewood ridges and those open iron bark hills
And I’ve enjoyed the stories of those old men and their skills
I’ve heard them talk of bushman and how they could find their way
Through the roughest of that country be it night or day
Where every hill looks just the same and the timber doesn’t change
Yes it’s so easy to get lost out in that rugged range
In my pictures of Australia, I love this southern land
In my pictures of Australia, when i find time at hand
I travel ‘cross this country and every time i find
New pictures of Australia embedded in my mind
Those ridges hold a fortune of history to be told
Of people searching in those hills for that precious gold
They searched the hills and gullies and every iron stone knob
But no one found a fortune there none worth speaking of
I feel sure that the pioneers felt passion not ignored
I wouldn’t swap our country for any place abroad
So when at last they lay me deep on the bank of Sandy Creek
I’d like rosewood planted by my head and lancewood at my feet
In my pictures of Australia, I love this southern land
In my pictures of Australia, when i find time at hand
I travel ‘cross this country and every time i find
New pictures of Australia embedded in my mind

Album: Where Our Heart Lives - Shaza Leigh (2019)
When I think back to the years, back when I was just a kid
I marvel at the things my mother did
I see her stocking up the fire or cleaning out the shed
And made our house a home, like she said
I see her down on blended knee, polishing the floors
Washing all our clothes with loving care
And the cross-bar on the clothesline, stood stark against the sky
A symbol of the cross she had to bear
Our pictures on the wall
Somehow tell it all
We were all so proud to be part of her family
Yes our pictures on the wall
Standing ten feet tall
Though times were harder then, we were happy
Though times were harder then, we were family
The picture taking pride of place, is in their wedding clothes
Mother looked so young and full of class
And the vow she took that day, to love honour and obey
She kept until the day, that she passed
And I know the world has changed for the better and the worse
And we couldn’t go back to the older ways
But it must have been worthwhile, for she always wore a smile
And the songs she sang, still cling to me today
Our pictures on the wall
Somehow tell it all
We were all so proud to be part of her family
Yes our pictures on the wall
Standing ten feet tall
Though times were harder then, we were happy
Though times were harder then, we were family

Album: Just A Dream Away - Shaza Leigh (2013)
I just never made the time, Never thought about the end
And it keeps racing through my mind, over & over again
And I just needed you to know, I’ve loved you more than words can say
So before you have to go, I send you all my love today
So please say hi to Grandad
Tell him of the tears I've cried
And I'll love you both forever
See you on the other side
And the tears will fall today, to understand, I have to try
They’ll celebrate your selfless ways, as I try to say goodbye
And the years will roll on too, and the pain it may subside
But I’ll still be missing you, ‘till I reach the other side
So please say hi to Grandad
Tell him of the tears I've cried
And I'll love you both forever
See you on the other side
So please say hi to Grandad
Tell him of the tears I've cried
And I'll love you both forever
See you on the other side

Album: Out Of A Shadow - Shaza Leigh (1995)
You can't forgive me you won't try
It seems far easier to say goodbye
The cold hard truth causes pain
Soon you'll be gone forever
Why can't we talk it over
Postpone today until tomorrow the
That’s soon enough to face the fall
I'd like to hold you one more time
For I still love you after all
Don't burn bridges we can't mend
We've come too far to let it end
Two wrongs have never made a right
You know I won't forget you and
And you will have regrets too
Postpone today until tomorrow
That’s soon enough to face the fall
I'd like to hold you one more time
For I still love you after all
Postpone today until tomorrow
That’s soon enough to face the fall
I'd like to hold you one more time
For I still love you love you
Postpone today until tomorrow the
That’s soon enough to face the fall
I'd like to hold you one more time
For I still love you
Yes I still love you
I still love you after all

Album: Homeland - Shaza Leigh (2016)
From a company station and camp on the peel
This lush river valley though time would reveal
Calala renowned to mean place of battle
Would attract Henry Dangar to settle
And as thousands of sheep grazed on Goonoo Goonoo
That prime river valley just grew
Then from 1850 Tamworth would stand
As the jewel in the crown of New England
Let the city of light always shine so bright
Let country run deep in her veins
Let valley to range survive the change
Let the pride of New England remain
From village to city we've reached the next stage
It's time for our nation to come of age
And many are ready to gain more control
Of our own destiny on the whole
Cause for over a century of national debate
Could the Northwest soon rule as a State
Be it fate or just fiction may Tamworth still stand
As the jewel in the crown of New England
Let the city of light always shine so bright
Let country run deep in her veins
Let valley to range survive the change
Let the pride of New England remain
Let the city of light always shine so bright
Let country run deep in her veins
Let valley to range survive the change
Let the pride of New England remain
Let the pride of New England remain

Now known as the heart of Queensland outback
This once virgin country hid unexplored tracks
Buchanan and Mitchell with bellies of fire
Went chasing their dreams of desire
The Lyceum’s one pub that’s lasted for years
where old Slim and Coster first met over beers
Travelling and singing right where they belonged
While building their dreams into songs
Longreach Oh Longreach you place of renown
As Queen of the outback you wear the crown
Out on the Thompson you’ll surely relax
As night shadows fall and those legends stand tall
Through stories in pubs of the outback
Backpackers and nomads and travellers roll in
Wiping the dust off from where they’ve just been
sharing drinks laced with bull at all bars
out living their dreams ‘neath the stars
Longreach Oh Longreach you place of renown
As Queen of the outback you wear the crown
Out on the Thompson you’ll surely relax
As night shadows fall and those legends stand tall
Through stories in pubs of the outback
